Account and Membership
Access to the Yummy Sounds music catalog is free, and users can listen to music without a membership. However, to use music in any personal or commercial project, a Single License must be purchased.
Licensing
Our licensing is straightforward. Users can acquire a non-exclusive user license for each track they wish to use. The license fee is determined by the usage category selected via a licensing form at the point of purchase. If a specific usage does not appear on the list, users should select the category that best fits their needs, to the best of their knowledge. There is no expiration for the license, but it is project-specific. Users may use a licensed track across multiple videos and platforms such as a YouTube/Social media, but using the same track for different clients/projects requires additional licenses.
Use of Music
Licensed music can be edited or used in part; users are allowed to add voiceovers or other audio elements as needed for their projects.
Project Specificity
Each license is tied to a particular project or, in the case of content creators, to their specific channel or series for continuity across multiple videos. Transference of a license to a client is permissible only in the context of the licensed project.
Prohibited Uses
Licenses do not allow for claiming authorship of the music or reselling the music as a standalone product. The licensed music must be utilized in a way that aligns with the selected usage category in the Guided License Form.
Copyright
Copyright of the music remains with the original author post-purchase. While not required, attributions to our composers are appreciated and help spread the word about their fantastic work.
Refund Policy
Due to the instant access nature of digital downloads, we do not offer refunds once a purchase has been made.
Prohibited Content
Yummy Sounds licenses may not be used for projects that promote hatred, violence, discrimination, illegal activities, or any other content that is deemed unethical or unlawful. We reserve the right to terminate a license if the music is used in a way that is inconsistent with these values.
License Verification
Buyers of licenses should be aware that many online platforms, including YouTube, may require verification of licensed music use. When uploading videos containing copyrighted music, it’s common to encounter content ID claims or similar copyright checks. Licensees are responsible for providing proof of their purchased license to release these claims as part of the platform’s claim dispute process. Performance Rights and Cuesheets
Buyers are made aware that most of the music provided by Yummy Sounds is registered with performing rights organizations (PROs). As such, the public performance or display of our music may require the submission of a cuesheet. Detailed information on this process is available in our FAQs, and users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these requirements to ensure compliance when using our music in a public setting.
Watermarked Previews
Yummy Sounds offers users the option to download watermarked previews of songs for testing purposes within their projects. These watermarked previews contain audible identifiers that signify the content is not licensed for release. The sole purpose of these files is to allow users to test and determine the suitability of the music for their projects. Users are strictly prohibited from removing the watermark, using these previews in final, public-facing projects, or in any way that suggests they have acquired a full license for the music. Misuse of watermarked previews may result in legal action.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes signifies acceptance of the new terms.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany and will be interpreted in accordance with the German courts.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold Yummy Sounds harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from their use of the music in ways that breach these terms and conditions.
